This is an inclusive space for teens (12+ years) to connect with peers and engage in authentic social practice. This group is intentionally structured as a therapeutically supportive environment to closely emulate a natural peer hangout. Our experienced therapists provide supportive facilitation, carefully guiding interactions and supporting skill development, allowing teens to build confidence and connect authentically at their own pace. The group moves beyond theory to create functional, real-world practice opportunities for life skills such as budgeting for a group outing, navigating the community and working together on a collaborative project.
The flexible structure of the group encourages independence: teen participants are empowered to co-create the group plan to ensure the group is interest-based, increase engagement and foster a sense of ownership and independence. The group will be flexible and led by the teens’ interests.
This group is currently not scheduled to be run in the upcoming school holidays. Please contact us to find out more or be put on the waiting list.
